Frequently Asked Questions!

  • CLASSES - GENERAL

  • + What do I wear?

    Parkour:

We recommend that your kids wear long light pants (like track pants) to diminish scrapes and allow kids to slide on angled surfaces more easily.

We also recommend sports shoes or parkour shoes, we focus a lot on landings and balance on edges and rails, shoes diminish impact and make balancing and landing on rails much more comfortable. They are also a good means of grip, for jumping across obstacles and up walls

    Breaking:

We recommend loose fitting pants that allow flexible movements. We prefer students not to wear shorts as kids are on their knees quite often and find it more comfortable and easier to do turns in when their knees are covered

We also recommend closed shoulder shirts and jumpers are very handy for many power moves! We do not recommend singlets!

We also recommend wearing socks for the sprung floor but bring a pair of shoes in case we want to work on the hard floor!

    Tricking:

For tricking we suggest socks on the floor (for pivot / spinning movements) and un-restrictive clothing.

    Gymnastics:

For tumbling we suggest bare feet on the floor and un-restrictive clothing.

    Circus:

For our circus classes we suggest that bases wear tights or tighter fitting (but flexibile) clothing so that fly’s can stand on their legs without the material moving around too much

We suggest that the fly’s don’t wear necklaces / jewellery and tie up their hair.

We suggest that if we are working on silks or lyra that you wear a lycra or equivalent undershirt

We suggest barefeet for acro and aerial equipment

    Street Workout:

We suggest gym gear and that you bring a towel (because you will sweat!)

Sports shoes or barefeet are fine.

  • + Do I have to have experience before I join a class?

    Not at all!

It is ideal that you start from the beginning of the term to get the introduction classes before they gain momentum, but with our two teachers engaged in the class we will always offer a basic and advanced progression!

  • + Do you have classes for advanced students?

    Yes we do!

Our advanced classes offer an extra 15 minutes and are at a much more advanced level working on our ‘bands’ development system!

Check out our timetable for times!

  • + What happens if I am sick for a class?

Please let us know with as much notice as possible (so we can offer a make-up class to other customers!)

Our standard policy for sickness is a make-up class within the term OR alternatively you can exchange any missed classes for open session credits (can be used outside of the current term!)
